Designing an exhibition within a constrained architectural space often begins with a simple question: how can movement itself become part of the narrative. For this temporary exhibition dedicated to underwater exploration, the bureau developed a spatial concept structured around the idea of descent. Rather than presenting objects through a conventional linear display, the exhibition was conceived as a gradual progression guiding visitors deeper into the subject.

The spatial system was organised as a circular sequence of articulated panels forming a continuous perimeter around the room. Each segment introduced a new chapter, allowing visitors to advance step by step through different levels of underwater exploration. Slight offsets between the panels created a rhythm of openings and visual transitions, encouraging movement while maintaining a sense of orientation. At the centre of the installation, a raised platform presented experimental timepieces designed for extreme depths, acting as the focal point around which the entire exhibition unfolded.

As visitors moved along the circular path, the architecture itself reinforced the narrative of immersion. The gradual enclosure of the panels and the controlled lighting environment created the impression of descending further into the ocean’s depths. Through this spatial choreography, the exhibition transformed a limited architectural volume into a layered experience where movement, narrative and object display formed a single continuous system.
